He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Leist and Mable Leona Leist (McCain); and his brother Jimmie. He is survived by: his wife Valley L. (Miller); his children, Phillip Leist (Susan), Jeffrey Leist (Anne), Matthew Leist, Jason Leist (Sarah), Jill Cavanaugh (Scott), Christina Bruning (Philip), Lisa Herron (Steven), Amy Mosley (Christopher), Kimberly Strickland (Justin), Marcus Leist and Justin Leist (Lydia); his sister Linda McFarland (Louis); and his nephew Louis McFarland (Rose). He is also survived by 55 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
