He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Karshner and Goldie Karshner (Waits); his parents-in-law, Ralph and Annabelle Fisher; his siblings, Claudia Ward (Karshner), Cindy Waltz (Karshner) and Nelson W. Karshner Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Victory Bethel (Fisher) and Roger Fisher.
He is survived by: his wife Holly Fisher; his sons, Dr. Edward Karshner (Kimberly), Eric Karshner (Kari) and Nelson Karshner (Audrey); his sister Clara Adams (Ron); his brothers-in-law, Wesley Fisher (Linda), Melvin Bethel, Wayne Ward and Jack Waltz; and his grandchildren, Madalynn Haden (Jeffrey Postage), Annie, James, Rhett, Max and Alex Karshner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
