He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Holbrook and Vessie Holbrook (Weaver); his wife Ellen Holbrook (Kisling); his son-in-law Larry Whaley; and his siblings, Moncia Holbrook, Juanita Wallingford, Virgil, Buford, Glenn, Jimmy and Hobert Holbrook.

He is survived by: his children, Connie Whaley, Nancy Dixon (Dale) and Mike Holbrook (Charla); his grandchildren, Angie Whaley, Donovan Dixon (Lindsey), Crystal Seilhamer (Devin), Ryan Holbrook (Kandi) and Chad Holbrook; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Tessa, Julian, Brayden, Cole and Brynlee; and his sisters, Freda Lindsey and Mary Contner.
