He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark DeLong and Clara DeLong (Leist); and his brother Marion DeLong. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn DeLong (Lindecamp); his sons, Dan (Marilyn) and David DeLong (Trisha); and his grandchildren, Adam (Megan), Andrew, Jeffrey DeLong and Emily Moynihan (Sam).
