He was predeceased by: his parents, Columbus Adams and Meda Adams (Roberts); his former wife Betty Ferguson; his son Denzel Adams; his sons-in-law, Keith Hiller and Don Hunt; and his siblings, Sara Jane Adams, Simon Adams, Betty Humphrey, Rosemary Tackett, Ray Adams and Fannie Greene.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis O'Dell Cupp Adams; his children, Diane Adams, Meda Hunt, Kathy Reichelderfer, Tammie Boyer (David), Linda Hunter (Mike), Wade (Shauna), Gene Cupp (Laura) and Janette Snoke (Fred); his daughter-in-law Perla Adams; and his siblings, Sarah Lewis, Kathryn Shiltz, Alice Abner and Curtis Adams. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren, 9 great, great grandchildren.
