He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Clay and Maryanne Clay (Lucas); and his siblings, Edgar, Nathan, Lester, Tom, Billy Clay, Redith Bartrim, Ardith Hutchison, Geneva Clay and Ginny Gibbs.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Ellen Clay (Guthrie); his children, Sheri Smith (Rick), Shane Clay, Candi Taylor (Jeff) and Tammi Castle (Don); his grandchildren, Matt, Misty, Nick, Mallorie, Megan, Rachel and Jacob; his great grandchildren, Hannah, Sadie and Jaxson; and his siblings, Bob, Curly Clay, Louise Caldwell and Bunny Gay.
