He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Hemmer and Selma Hemmer; and his brothers, James Kingsley Hemmer (Linda) of Indianapolis, IN, Thomas Hemmer (Jane) and David John Hemmer (Kay) of Evansville, IN..

He is survived by: his wife Georganne; his children, Tracy Miehls (Don), W. Andrew Hemmer (Nancy Reiner), William G. Hemmer, Kris Sikora (Jack) and Ann H. Ryan (Brandon); his grandchildren, Annie Gearhart (Ben), Alex Miehls (Liza), Megan Kallus (Josh), William Grant, Riley Mae, Margo Marie Hemmer, Sarah, Sophie, Lizzy, John Sikora and Jenna Eve Ryan; his great grandchildren, George, Max, Matthew, Jonathan, Charlotte and Lily; and his sister Mary Lee Dozier (Dan) of Evansville, IN. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Meyer Funeral Home (5864 Bridgetown Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45248). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Lawrence (3680 Warsaw Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45205). A burial was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at the St. Joseph New Cemetery (4500 Foley Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45238).
