He is survived by: his wife Jan Helmes (Grady); his daughter Julie Runyan; his grandchildren, Olivia (Kyle), Hannah, Mia, Bella, Tyler (Divine), Sarah and Peter Elana; his great grandchildren, Colton, Sadie and Sophia; his siblings, Bob Helmes and Kay Robben; and his pet Midgee.
