It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas E. Westerfield (Cincinnati, Ohio), who passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy M. "Dottie" Westerfield (Wernsing); his son Joseph A. "Joey" Westerfield; his brothers, Jay Westerfield (Ethel) and Dick Westerfield; and his parent Deacon Tom.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Phillips (Keith), Carol Clark (Rich), Thomas J. Westerfield (Gina) and Mary Ellen McCarthy (Kevin); his grandchildren, Matthew Westlund (Amanda), Shelly (Alan), Michael Westlund (Emily), Megan Phillips (Elizabeth), Mallory Phillips, Becky Meyer (John), Rachel Bisher (Brian), Sarah Clark, Emily Spaulding (Alex), Jack, Hallie Westerfield, Katie McCarthy, Alyssa Balzer (Matt) and Kevin McCarthy, Jr.; and his brother Robert L. Westerfield (late Ruth). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Church (3450 Lumardo Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45238). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Seton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Our Lady of Lourdes Church and/or the "Tom and Dottie Westerfield Scholarship" at Elder High School.
