He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Loretta Rose (Schooler) and Raymond Lavon Whitson; his wife Joyce Whitson (Collins); his brother Jeffrey Ray Whitson (Diane); his niece Nicole; his nephew Ryan; his uncle Donald Schooler; his brother Gregory Gene Whitson; and his grandparents, Frida (Schleifer), Felix Schooler, Felix Whitson, Bertie Lee (Woody) and John Gudger Whitson.
