He was predeceased by: his grandfather Izzy Carnegis. He is survived by: his parents, Carl Carnegis and Kathy Carnegis (Peterson); his brother Nick Carnegis (Jordan); his nephews, Jack and Mason; his brother Jason Carnegis (Sarah-Lizz Myers); his grandparents, Dick, Sally Jo Peterson and Mary Lou Webb (Tom); his uncles, Jeff Peterson (Sofia) and Ken Carnegis (Lisa); his aunt Maria Williams (Kurt); his cousins, Miles Peterson, Tasha Orson (James), Colby Carnegis (Brittany), Alex Carnegis, Kristin Carnegis, Luke Carnegis, Ted Williams, Mark Hadaya, Jon Lukac, Peter Curnutte and Will Phillips; and his pet Tarn. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.

He was very proud of his work, specifically that he had the opportunity to help produce some of the solvents used in the COVID-19 tests.
