She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander J. Hanson and Mildred Dawn Hanson (Vane); and her husband D. Robert Bennett. She is survived by: her close friends, Charles and Jeanne Maroosis; her daughters, Ruth and Christina Bennett-Stamper; her son-in-law Trevor Stamper; and her grandchildren, Caitlin, Rowan Stamper, Axel, Sammy and Panda. She is also survived by her daughter, son in law and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Arbor Day Foundation, the National Audubon Society, or the Nature Conservancy.
