It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Parlett Shanklin Sr. (Cincinnati, Ohio), who passed away on October 21, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Bobby Shanklin (Jie); his former wife Patricia Shanklin; his son-in-law Roy Bueter; his parents, Bob Shanklin and Ruth Shanklin; and his sister Judith Bingham.

He is survived by: his children, Ann Howard (Bill), Peggy Bierman (John), Beth Shanklin, Danny Shanklin and Kathleen Bueter; his grandchildren, Max Bierman, Maggie Bierman, Ben Bueter (Alexis), Madison Faherty (Shane), Fred Howard (Maria), Henry Howard, Beckham Jacquot, Mairin Jacquot and Adam Shanklin; his siblings, Barbara Oakes (Bill Wheatley), Tom Shanklin (Judy) and Sally Lee; and his pet Gandor.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired or please plant a tree in Bob's memory.
