He is survived by: his siblings, Tony Messer, Edie Cundiff, Betty Davis, Brenda Callinan and Margie Messer (Cleo Messer); his son Richard Jason Messer; his daughter-in-law Amanda Messer; and his grandsons, Richard Golden and Jason Robert Messer.
