He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Hoffer and Betty Hoffer. He is survived by: his wife Clarice Bailey Hoffer; his children, Victor Clinton Caldwell (Shawna), Clarice Elisabeth Hoffer Grote (Chris) and Richard Troy James Hoffer; his grandchildren, Reese Hoffer (Elly), Chelsea Grote, Macie Caldwell, Sophia Grote, Cecillia Grote, Ella Grote, Emersyn Caldwell, Chloe Kennedy (Zach), Nate Meyers, Bella Meyers and Harper Meyers; and his brother William Hoffer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the E. C. Nurre Funeral Home (177 W Main St, Amelia, OH 45102). A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
