He is survived by: his spouse Carol Sue Mayer; his child Abbey Mayer; his stepchildren, Lisa Casavant (Greg) and Christopher Schaefer; his siblings, Russ Mayer (Sue), Steve Mayer (Laura), Lynne Humphrey (Conrad) and Roger Mayer (Barbara); and his grandchildren, Katelyn Martin, Trey, Aubrey Schaefer, Jeff, Sam, Roger, Tom, Abby and Julie Casavant.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Pkwy E, Cape Coral, FL 33909.
