He was predeceased by : his daughter Lindsay; and his brother Greg. He is survived by : his daughters, Sara (Danielle Froelicher) and Christina; his stepchildren, Lisa Butler (Datha Harrison) and Bill Butler (Mindy); his grandchildren, Bailey Gilligan (Casey), Will Butler, Grace Merz-Johnston, Greenlee Merz-Brown, Clair Harrison and Emma Harrison; his great grandchild Luca; his siblings, Dan (Judy), Linda Mullen (Mike) and Beth Leibreich (Pat); and the mother of his children Debbie. He is also survived by cousins and nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 13th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (7820 Beechmont Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45255). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
