He was predeceased by: his significant other Loraine "Toni"; his daughter Susan O'Brien; his grandchild Lindsay; his parents, Robert O'Brien and Oza O'Brien; and his siblings, Maurice "Gene" O'Brien and Oza "Sis" O'Brien.
He is survived by: his children, James O'Brien, Jr. (Terri), Barbara Majewski (Hank), Patrick O'Brien (late Tricia), Thomas O'Brien (Pauline), Anne Niehauser (Steve) and Christine Quitter (Jerry); his grandchildren, Benjamin, Andrew, Zachary, Nicholas, Justin, Kyle, Shane, Colleen, Michael, Maureen, Alexander, Brett, Alec, Carly, Ashley, Jay and Cassie; and his brother Robert O'Brien. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Spring Grove Rebold Funeral Home (3700 Glenmore Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45211). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Victory Church (810 Neeb Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45233).
