“I am heartbroken to learn this morning about the passing of Emma. She was a gifted student in my history classes at Cincinnati Country Day. Much more than that--Emma was a beautiful person. Her sensitivity and caring nature lifted the spirits of all who came to know her. Emma's love of learning was one reason I committed to a lifelong career in teaching. Emma stayed in touch with me when she attended Northwestern. Emma was bright-eyed. She embraced new ideas with joy.”
