He was predeceased by: his child Mark Maag; and his parent Edward Maag. He is survived by: his spouse Christine Maag; his children, Julie Schoen (Doug), Lisa Maag, Molly Yoder (Steve), Amy Maag, Megan Kline (Javan), Eddie Maag (Tasha), Todd Maag and Greg Maag; his parent Mary Maag; and his siblings, Joan Bowyer (late Dale) and Ronald Maag (Janet).
Dr. Maag made a generous donation to the Ohio State University Dental College to enhance the education of the future generation of Dentists.
