He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ellen Rogers; his children, Julie Vilardo (Robert), Jettye Nagy (Marc), Jodi Dickey (David) and Jim Rogers (Michelle); his stepchildren, Maxim Brumbach (Carrie) and Mattis Brumbach (Katy); his grandchildren, Mason, Bransen, Dawsyn, Laura, Logan, Jarrett, Cooper, Marin, Drea, Davis, Dacey, Elizabeth, Lucretia, Juliana and Levi; his great grandchild Rosie; and his sisters, Phyllis Whisler and Marian Bowen.
