He was predeceased by: his parents, William Layer and Alma Layer; and his sister Phyllis Maymir. He is survived by: his wife Clare Layer; his daughters, Cassandra "Casey" Carsello (Joseph) and Nicole Ducklo (Stephen); his siblings, Ralph Layer (Linda) and Mary Parr (Norman); and his grandchildren, Brayden Ducklo and Brynleigh Ducklo. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
