It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Funk of Cincinnati, Ohio, born in Gallipolis, Ohio, who passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Curtie; and his aunt Kathryn McAllister. He is survived by: his son Easton Funk of Connecticut; his stepsons, T. J. Baker of Jackson and Glen Baker of South Carolina; his sister Kathy; his brother-in-law Dwight Bowling of Wellston; and his cousin Elba Heilman. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nephew, cousins and friends.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Ridgewood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in David's memory be given to Salvation Army, 114 East Central Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202.

“Please accept my condolences, prayers for your loss. David was a fine man and a friend from high school. I still remember all the times we bantered back and fourth about which football program was better- Notre Dame or Ohio State. I haven’t seen you since the peewee football days of TJ but I’ve often thought of you and the fun we had bantering!! I surly believe you’re loving heaven!! This world will be a lesser place without you!”
