He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Bennett and Lois Lowstuter; his stepfather Richard Lowstuter; his mother-in-law Doris Jarman; his brother Mark Bennett; and his brother-in-law David Schlaubach Jr..

He is survived by: his significant other Shiree Bennett; his partner's daughter Christina Savage (Danny Savage); his siblings, Susan Croslin (Joe Croslin), Kathleen Cook (Tim Cook), Sandy Schriever (Gary Schriever), Jean Bennett and Johnnie Mascari; his parents-in-law, David Schlaubach Sr. and Kathy Schlaubach; and also, Avery and Addilynn Savage. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of Cincinnati who took exceptional care of Dan in his last days.
