He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Woody Eckert and Joan Eckert; his spouse Charisse; his children, Chris Adams and Tracy Eckert (Robert Toles); his grandchildren, Kya and Riley; his great grandchild Sydney; and his siblings, Richard, Donna and Debbie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Crosspointe Baptist Church.
