He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Klaene and Mabel Klaene (Bradhold); his grandson Matthew Heyob; and also John B. Klaene. He is survived by: his wife Karen Klaene (Layman); his daughter Jeanette Fleming (Tom); his grandchildren, Abigail Sparks (Brendon), Luke, Clare, Laura, Thomas Fleming, Justine Aguilar (Ismael), Serena, Ariana Erwin, Jacob Klaene, Nicholas Klaene, Jeremy Vandever (Ksana), Joseph Mehaffie, Jackson, Colin and Ella Klaene; his great grandchildren, Hailey, Max Heyob and Declan Sparks; his cousin Harry Burg; and also, J. B. Klaene, Loma Hicks and Lili McIntire.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Antoninus Church (1500 Linneman Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45238).
