He was predeceased by: his wife Lisa Tanner; and his father Ronald Tanner. He is survived by: his children, Ryan Tanner (Liz) and Jake Tanner; his grandchildren, JJ and Lucy; his mother Linda Tanner; and his sister Tiffany Hatfield (Danny).
