He was predeceased by: his parents, Miller W. Sr. Welty and Mary Jane Welty (Barnhart); and his brothers, Miller Wayne, Jr., Merle William and Roger Eugene Welty.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Jane Frank Welty; his sons, Robert Michael Welty of Christiansburg and Daniel Lee; his daughter-in-law Tammy Welty of St. Paris; his grandsons, Jacob Skyler (Caitlyn) of Bedford, PA, Anthony Lee of Casstown and Nathan William of Casstown; his great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Benjamin and Gabriel; and his sister Mary Lou Stewart of Altamonte Springs, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
