He was predeceased by: his parents, George Scheider and Stella Scheider (Schaefer); his son Gerald Jr.; and his siblings, Ronald, Regis, Roberta and Rita.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeremiah Scheider, Joshua Scheider and Matthew Moretto; his grandson Hunter; and his siblings, Georganne Rinehart, Reveille Colley (Willie), Roxanne Heinzeroth (Charlie), Rebecca Lycett, Richard Seng (Fatma) and George Scheider (Pat). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
