She is survived by: her children, Emmitt Hempstead, Jr. (Vicki) of Chillicothe, Fred Hempstead (Judy) of Chillicothe, Daniel Hempstead (Rita Wallace) of Chillicothe, Loretta Haddox (Wilford) and Laura Puckett (John) of Conway, S. C.; and her brother Alton Dwyer of Southwest, FL. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
