He was predeceased by: his parents, Hasel Slone and Goldie Murray Slone; and his siblings, Eula Hastings, Carl, Marvin, Jim, Bob and Stanley Slone.

He is survived by: his wife Cecelia Sharp Slone; his son Michael Slone (Michele) of Urbana; his grandson George Slone; and his brother Harold Slone (Rosie) of California.
