He was predeceased by: his parents, W. Sherman Bost and Margaret McCorkle Bost; his wife Jane Story Bost; his son Mike Bost; and his siblings, Milford, Judson, Harry, Robert Bost, Mary Doughty, Norma Jean Ramsey, Mabel Spetnagel, Frances Siberell and Doris Bost.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Hice (Rick) of Chillicothe and Randy Bost (Kelly) of Champaign, IL; his stepdaughters, Mary McCombs (Mark) of Upper Arlington and Sarah Pummel (Chris) of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Tony, Jaime Hice, Bailey, Lilly Bost, Andrew, James McCombs, Brooke and Holly Pummel; his great grandchild Isabella Jane DeMint; and his sisters, Marge Duffy of Chillicothe, Jane McKinnis of Chillicothe and Phyllis Mitchell of Chillicothe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
