He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Bivens and Betty Jane Johnson Bivens; his spouse Verjeana A. Clifton; his siblings, Michael K. Sommers, Jody Kimbler, Luther Sommers II and Cynthia Curtis; and his brother-in-law Ray Kimbler.
He is survived by: his children, Shawna Bivens of Chillicothe, Shawn Bivens II of Chillicothe, Seth Bivens of California, Aaron Bivens of Jackson and Cassie Clifton of Chillicothe; his siblings, Greg Bivens of Chillicothe, Oakley Bivens (Angie) of Vinton County, Jennifer Shope of Chillicothe and Beth Ann Hamlin (Marlin Steffy) of Chillicothe; and his close friend Susie Moore of Chillicothe. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ware Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses.
