She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Bill" Pettiford and Jessie Mae Wright Pettiford; her son Shawn Bryant; and her sister Marsha Patterson. She is survived by: her children, Buddy Bryant (Terri) and Breeayn Bryant; and her brothers, Gary Pettiford (Bubb) and William "Bill" Pettiford. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
