She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack W. Ater and Carol Ater (Trego); and her brother-in-law Dick Doyle. She is survived by: her husband Bernard J. Ater, Jr. (Butch); her children, Alyssa Ater, Michael Ater and Brianne Paxton (Matthew); her granddaughters, Kaitlyn Connery (Byrd Green) and Lauryn Connery; her sisters, Krista Doyle and Jacquelyn Mace (Dan); her nephew Shawn Doyle (Kasarah); her niece Kelley Winegardner (Kevin); her great-niece Heather Sowers (Brian); and also, Tyson Connery and Ashley Mace.
Instead of flowers, the family would like to honor Soni, the final Valedictorian of Clarksburg High School, by way of donations to the Clarksburg High School Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.
