We are sad to announce that on January 13, 2021, at the age of 82, Rosemary L. Abernathy of Chillicothe, Ohio, born in Ross County, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louie Seymour and Bertha Wheeler Seymour; her husband Charles H. Abernathy; her brother Ronnie Seymour; and her stepdaughter Carol Lynn McQuiniff.
She is survived by: her children, Michele A. Sigler of Chillicothe, Melissa R. Hutton (John) of Chillicothe and Michael D. Sigler of Chillicothe; her stepdaughters, Judi Halcomb (Duane) of Frankfort, Jane Abernathy of Marion and Kim Abernathy of Frankfort; her grandchildren, Emilee Hatfield (Drew), Bethanie Beam, Tyler Hutton (Sasha Wilson), Heather Saultz (Danny), Rachel Morell (Anthony), Eric Hutton (Rachel), Heath Sigler and Ryan Sigler; her great grandchildren, Valerie, Lillian, Walter, Boe, Elizabeth and Royce; her siblings, Mark Seymour of Chillicothe and Karen Baxter of Chillicothe; and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Wilhite of Frankfort, Jean Lane of Frankfort, Bev Seymour of Chillicothe, Judy Abernathy of Chillicothe and Janice Carpenter of Hilliard. She is also survived by numerous step grandchildren; step great grandchildren; cousins; and nieces and nephews.
Due to the current Covid-19 guidelines, a private funeral and visitation will be held for family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Walnut Street United Methodist Church 16 S. Walnut Street Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
