He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Liggins and Elizabeth Liggins (Fairrow); his sister Marion Brown; his wife Maxine Liggins (Tackett); and his son Calvin Johnston.
He is survived by: his brother James L. Liggins; and his children, Maria Jane Garner (Alfred), Kevin Ragland, Chestine Walk (Mack), Ruby Sherwood (Scott), Ellen Crisp (Sanford), Patsy Cottrill, Opal Hutton (Steve) and Charlene Conley (Larry). He is also survived by his family with 29 Grandchildren, 32 Great-Grandchildren, and 14 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
