She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Rathburn Legg and Edward Leatherwood; and her brother Marion Leatherwood (Buddy). She is survived by: her husband Bruce Sampsill; her child Michele Sampsill Spencer of Chillicothe; her grandchildren, Jacob Vanchure of Chillicothe and Madalyn Spencer of Chillicothe; her sisters, Jennifer Elam of Roaming Shores and Regina Leatherwood of Mt. Sterling, Ohio; her sister-in-law Caron Leatherwood (Kitchen) of Ashville; her nieces, Deborah Teeters (Ron) of Ashville and Vicki Moss (Doug) of Westerville, Ohio; and her close friends, Robin Stewart of Chillicothe and Lillian O'Day of Ashville. She is also survived by cousins and several great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home (420 W Main St, Ashville, OH 43103). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
