He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph H. West and Mary West (Cathcart); and his brothers, Bob, Don, Dick West, Bud and Tom Siberell.
He is survived by: his wife Lorena M. Brown; his children, Janaan Newman of Baltimore, Sandra Gordon (William) of Beavercreek, John West (Heidi) of South Carolina and Rebecca Petty (Matthew) of Baltimore; and his grandchildren, Ryan, Jason Gordon, Benjamin, Samuel Petty and Deanna Newman.
