He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Beverly, and Elsie Mayo Beverly, Sr.; his former wife Portia Beverly; his siblings, JoAnn Thomas, Rebecca Beverly, Walter, Jr. and Fredrick Beverly; and his stepson Derrick Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy J. Coey; his children, Lee Edwards, Sr. (Tammi), Tya Jones (James), Jamarr Brown, Philip Beverly II (Kandi) and Megan Beverly; his stepchildren, Jeremy Kerns (Morgan) of Chillicothe, Joshua Powell of Chillicothe and Britany Chaney (Colt) of Chillicothe; and his siblings, Rose Hamrick, Betsy Walker and James Beverly. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests, memorial contributions be made to the WARE FUNERAL HOME 121 W. 2nd St., Chillicothe, OH 45601, to help with funeral expenses.
