He was predeceased by: his father R. Edwin Remy; his daughter Paula S. Remy; and his siblings, Charles Remy, Thelma Wallace and Pauline Remy.

He is survived by: his children, Marcia Darnell (Ezra) of Wellston, Diane Sowers (Bill) of McArthur, Christy Zimmerman (Terry) of McArthur and Paul V. Remy, Jr. of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Michael Thompson, Amanda Thompson, Zachary Barnett, Kayleigh Fairchild, Lakin Steele, Alison Sowers, Whitney Barnett, Brandon Darnell, Payton Remy and Alec Zimmerman; and his brothers, Kenny Remy of McArthur and Junior Remy of McArthur. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
