He was predeceased by: his father Luther L. Hartley; his wife Linda L. Potter; his daughter Linda Susan Smith; and his siblings, Anna Belle Linton, Martha Gilliland, Thomas L., Bob and Donald E. Hartley.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Lin Keppler of Galena, OH, James Alan Hartley (Starr) and Kerry Lou Congrove (Thomas) of Commercial Point, OH; his grandson Dustin Manring (Tia); his children, Kristen Keppler, Matthew Keppler, Jack Andrew Hartley (Nora) of Wilmington, DE, Thomas James Congrove (Michelle) and Mitchell Andrew Congrove; his great grandchildren, Colton Kyle Manring, Landon Alan Manring, James Patrick Hartley, Nicola Lin Hartley and Claire Rose Hartley; and his siblings, John Hartley, Loretta Betts, Mary McCray and Jeannie Jordan (Keith). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
