She was predeceased by: her parents, Eleanore Horwell and Jim Horwell; and her sister Anne Stone. She is survived by: her husband Dave Higgs-Horwell; her children, J. V. Eberst (Sarah), Melinda Alumbaugh (David), Walter Eberst and Gabe Higgs-Horwell (Paty); and her siblings, Cindy Hummel and Bill Horwell. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
