He was predeceased by: his father Roger Henkle; his stepbrother Kelly Henness; and his uncle Danny Henkle. He is survived by: his wife Janice "Jan" Nier Henkle of Fairborn, Ohio.; his children, Kelsey Henkle of Canal Winchester, Brandon Henkle of Canal Winchester and Derek Henkle of Canal Winchester; his stepfather Lowell "Gordon" Henness of Chillicothe; his stepsisters, Jo Ellen Tolle (Richard) of Leesburg and Rhonda Hudnell of Leesburg; and his half-siblings, Amy Henkle Dardinger (Brian) of Chillicothe, Tobie Stidham (Scott), Jeff Henness (Traci) of Chillicothe and Jerry Henness (Lisa) of Chillicothe. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ware Funeral Home to help the family.
