Larry Jay Montgomery Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Larry Jay Montgomery of Chillicothe, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 13, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Prater Montgomery and Ordna Pelfrey Montgomery; his wife Eleanor June Bethel; his sister Lola; and his brothers-in-law, Herb Fitzpatrick, Frank Murray and Bernard Powell.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Montgomery (Christa) of Chillicothe and Michele Goshorn (Jerry) of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Zachariah Montgomery, Venessa Atwood (Tyler), Gabrielle Goshorn (Drew Davis) and Savana Goshorn; his great grandchildren, Avynn Montgomery, Flynn Atwood, Adalynn Atwood, Madalynn Atwood and Kevin Atwood; and his sisters, Nola Murray of Chillicothe Lou, Sue Powell (Clyde) of Chillicothe Lou, Pam Foster (Steve) of Jeffersonville and Lynn Digges (Bill) of Chillicothe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to either the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (alzfdn.org) or to the Dementia Foundation of America (dementiasociety.org).
