He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. and Dorothy E. Beard, Sr. (Cole); and his siblings, Gloria Winfield (John), Diana Joyner, James Beard (Gail), Patricia Smith and Timmy Beard.
He is survived by: his wife Wendy Beard (Keels); his children, Lisa Ahinakwah (Ebenzer), Keith Beard (Kelly) and Jeremy Beatty; his grandchildren, Cole Walker, Renee Beard, Corey Lawson, Jr., Raen Beard, Darius Lawson and Laila Diane; his great grandchildren, Kiah, Anna, Hudson, Adyen and Jayce; his siblings, George Beard (Helen), Lonnie Beard (Delores), Patrick Beard (Terry), Danny Beard, Jeff Beard (Mary), Joyce Hardin and Linda Beard; and his sister-in-law Christina Beard. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
