She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George L. Johnson of Washington, D. C. and Virginia Brown; her husband Michael L. Engard; her daughter Christa Hoffner; her grandson Donovan Hoffner of Chillicothe; her brothers, Rob Hitchens (Zenaida) of Chillicothe, Todd Hitchens (Katherine) of Chillicothe, Warren Moody of Chillicothe and Kevin Moody of Chillicothe; her half-sisters, Betty Chestnut (Jimmy) of Evansville, Indiana and Melissa Johnson of Blythwood; her daughter Nicole Austin; her half-brother George Johnson Jr.; and her grandparents, James and Jessie Brown. She was also cherished by her family, especially her daughter and grandson.
In lieu of flowers, Karen asked that donations be made in her memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, The James Cancer Hospital, or a local charity of your choosing.
