He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Howard Shields and Lulu Shields (Martin); his wife Nancy Tyo; his son Joseph Shields (Judy); his grandchildren, Tonya Miller (Andy), Richmond Dale and Heather Newman (Jake); his stepgrandson Clifford Edwards of Gainsville, FL; his great grandchildren, Cheyenne and Chad; and his stepgreat-grandson Dockery.
