He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Berry and Cloie Berry (Bunn); his wife Hazel M. Kellough; his brother George; his sister-in-law Esther Berry; and his siblings, Joseph Berry, Reuben Berry, Raymond Berry, Larry Berry, Robert "Bob" (Bernice Berry), Frank (Mary Berry), Martha Pelcha (Fred), Opal Cottrill (Myron) and Violet Pollock (Donald).
He is survived by: his sons, George Berry (Lynn) of Chillicothe and John Berry (Jenny) of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, John Berry III (Lori), Lauri Ball (Michael), Kirstie McKell (Ben), Allyson Dyke (Holden), Courtney Berry and Malia Oesterle (Tristan); his siblings, Richard Berry (Phyllis) of Chillicothe, Joan Hess of Chillicothe and Connie Vest (late Frank) of Waverly; and also Charles Berry. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
