It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Sue Hammond of Chillicothe, Ohio, born in New Castle, Virginia, who passed away on April 2, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Clarence Dewey; her husband Gerald B. Hammond; and her brothers, Paschal Dewey, Sidney Wesley, Giles Elliott, Max Rodell and James Thurman Reynolds.
She is survived by: her son Jeffrey Allen Hammond of Chillicothe; her friends, Bud Fausnaugh of Chillicothe and George McKinniss of Columbus; and her sisters, V. Eloise Parks (Charles Parks) of Washington, C. H., E. Joanne Chapman (Wendell Chapman) of Wilkesville and Phyllis M. Cribben (Roger Cribben) of Jackson. She is also survived by several nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.
